I'm a Painter and Mixed Media Artist.  The natural world is important to me as well as:  colour; light; space and my love of the land and its wildlife.

I often work on location, drawing, making mixed media studies, taking photographs and documenting the environment.  Weeds, wildflowers, leaves, trees, flowers, water are all sources of inspiration.

Through the process of layering colour and mark-making, I produce oil paintings and mixed media pieces that represent areas that I have a strong connection with.  For me, these areas are safe havens and escapes from life's harsher realities.  I love to champion the 'overlooked' or 'unnoticed', small and beautiful weeds and wildflowers.
