I live & love to paint...
My work is a response to nature and the world that I want to be surrounded by. I concentrate on the wildflowers the weeds that can live alongside the hybrids. The plants that are important to all wildlife and give a message to the viewer
Art has always been in my life...
I was born and raised in South London, I now live in Hastings, East Sussex..
I’ve made art since I was little going onto Wimbledon School of Art where I did a BA(Hons) degree in painting under the tutelage of Prunella Clough, Bernard Cohen and Martin Bedford. I really learnt my craft there. We made our own stretchers for our canvases, made different paint and grounds and had wonderful art history lectures.
I completed a PGCE at Goldsmiths College, London and subsequently taught art part time in order to be able to make my own work.
My work has been exhibited in many places including:
-
Three Kent Wildlife Trust visitor centres
-
Linden Hall Gallery, Deal.
-
Haddenham Art Gallery, Cambridge.
-
Avocet Gallery, Sussex.
-
Bower Barn Gallery, Molash, Canterbury.
-
Red Door Gallery, Rye.
-
West End Gallery, Smarden.
